Yes, but… Smartsheet’s backup offers a weekly download of exported data, or an on-demand snapshot of data at a point in time. This doesn’t protect non data assets like workflows, forms, conditional formatting, reports or dashboards. By keeping backups inside your Smartsheet environment, Smarter Backup protects all of these and on your own schedule.

You can, but you can also backup folders or individual sheets.

Smarter Backup works in the same way as a ‘right click / save as new’ operation and uses a naming convention (zz_Backup…) to make sure backups are easily available but kept out of the way at the bottom of your Smartsheet browser.

You can schedule your backup jobs as often as twice daily for fast paced environments but you can also choose from daily, weekly, monthly and even yearly jobs.

Smartsheet’s 100 item copy limit is hard-wired so we can’t get around that directly. This means that larger workspaces may need to be split into smaller jobs, or we might recommend more aggressive archiving to reduce workspace sizes. We will always discuss your specific environment before you buy.

Absolutely. By enabling a single option, Smarter Backup will export your sheets and reports to a selection of file types including CSV, Excel and XML. These files are stored in a Zip file in the correct folder structure and attached to the Smarter Backup admin sheet.
